HESI

The HESI exams are a series of exams designed for nurses and other health professionals. The HESI Admissions Assessment Exam (HESI A2) is used as a part of the admissions process for some nursing schools. Specialized HESI exams can be used by a nursing program as mid-curricular exams, end-of-course exams, and mobility exams for candidates looking to move from one level of education to another. The HESI exit exam tests a student’s readiness for the nursing licensure exam.

The General Education Development (GED) test is also referred to as the High School equivalency test. Students take the GED test to demonstrate mastery of Math, Science, Social Studies, Reading and Writing. Upon successful completion of the GED test, a candidate is awarded a State of Florida high school diploma and is considered a high school graduate. Our program is customized based on your needs with experienced instructors and tutors ready to assist you throughout the program.

English Class

ur English classes for adults are a full-time, structured program for people who want to make real progress in speaking English. We use the same blended instructional methods in all our English classes, leveraging technology to customize instruction and giving students individual practice on areas of difficulty. For adults, these methods are particularly effective because they provide each learner a framework within which to review and build upon his own skill base.

Basic Computer Class

The Computer Literacy 101 lessons are intended for newcomers to computers or to the particular programs used, but they contain information that even old-timers can use to polish and refresh their skills and understanding.

Nursing Aide Exam Preparation (CNA)

This intensive course prepares students for the certification exam which is necessary to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the State of Florida. . The course focuses on the theory and the 22 practical skills that are part of the written and clinical skills test. It will also cover the importance of standard procedures, ethical standards, legal limitations, and medical abbreviations frequently used on the daily work.

Florida HHA Certification Requirements

To work for a Medicare or Medicaid home health agency, a home health aide must complete at least 75 hours of training and/or successfully complete a competency evaluation given by the home health agency.
